What's My Story?
I am a Husband and Father first before anything else. My family is everything to me. I believe in those heartfelt moments of life as they are quick to pass and fade. As a photographer; I love to photograph people, between the smiles and the tears, it is my light to bring the true you to life in a photograph. When you study my work you will start to see what I mean with that statement.
I have been photographing for almost 16 years, but I have been around film all my life, I was lucky enough to learn a bit from my mother who has a passion for photography. My Stepmother Louella, who one Christmas gave me all her Professional Photography gear that I would need to start my career, without her gift I would never have been able to afford to be a photographer!
My formal training was at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach Florida. It is one of the best schools for photography in the United States.
I started Halation Magazine LLC in 2014, at the time it was a Black and White Fine Art Photography Magazine and was carried across the country by Books A Million. In the 6 years we have been creating the magazine, as covid hit, we stopped publishing. It was a bitter sweet pause, as we may publish again in the future.
As a photographer, I am published with many different Newspapers and Magazines around the USA, and I continue to submit work and shoot as much as I can.
