These will vary with light, swell, and style, but here’s a baseline:

  • ISO: 100–400 in good light; push higher as needed
  • Focus Mode: Continuous AF (AF-C) with Dynamic or Group Area tracking

Tip: Pre-focus where the action will happen( If you can anticipate). Surf photography is as much about anticipation as it is about settings.
